This was an epic vacation win! Truly felt like home. Wished we could have stayed longer! The program they built for the telescope/observatory was stunning… I would give this place 11/5 stars if I could! We were able to see a shooting star of all things along with Jupiter and so many other things. To see my son’s face light up with joy was so worth it. Extra care and kindness made by the hosts to include birthday hats and such, so incredibly wonderful!! Everything was so homey and spectacular. Truly a special place for my son’s 17th bday. Thank you!

The Observatory Retreat was incredible in every way! Michelle truly thought of everything her guests could possibly need or want. Our kids loved the games and alien scavenger hunt, and we enjoyed watching the wildlife in the yard each morning. But the highlight was definitely the amazing observatory and easy-to-use program that allowed us to view planets, stars, and more with the touch of a button. Our family will always treasure the evenings spent in the observatory star-gazing and listening to the fun space-themed playlist. Thank you, Michelle and Jonathon, for sharing your extraordinary home with us and for being such wonderful hosts. This experience was a highlight of our trip to Joshua Tree National Park, and we would love to stay here again one day.

LITTERALLY 5 STARS ALL AROUND!! The host Michelle was very helpful and communicated very well when I had any questions for her. The Observatory was AMAZING and such a beautiful sight to see!! The hosts were very cute and clever with all thier instructions, they really put time and effort into every detail at thier place. So many games to play that we didn’t get to play all of them. Would definelty recommend and come back here myself. Thank you!

This was a beautiful home for our group of five friends! Loved all of the NASA things around the house - and of course being kids-at-heart we had to put on the NASA outfits for pictures! So fun! I had several conversations with Michelle leading up to the trip and she always responded immediately with helpful information and was very accommodating. Even on our one very early morning, we awoke to no hot water and messaged them at 5:30am. They immediately responded and since they have things connected online were able to do their magic from home and we were back in business in literal minutes. We were very impressed. Storms had gone through overnight so we assume they knocked the water heater offline. We were bummed that we weren't able to open the roof of the observatory and use the telescope, but as I said there were some wicked storm in the area. We were able, however, to still go inside the observatory (in the NASA outfits) and check out the lights and music. Great house and VIEWS! A+

Great place, all as described/pictured, fun observatory experience and lots of other games/activities… plus host went above & beyond by purchasing something we asked about for the kitchen, in advance of our visit!

I don’t even know if I can put into words how incredible this place is! It’s close to Joshua Tree National Park so we spent our days hiking and our evenings/ nights out in the observatory. The amount of work that was put into making it so easy to use is amazing! We loved everything about it! It’s so easy to use their touchscreen to find available things to see in space. We spent so much time out there and were just in awe at all we could see! We even had one partially cloudy night and still was able to see everything. Really can’t say enough good things! The house is also an absolute blast! Our kids loved it and we enjoyed playing all the different games. Also has everything by you need to make meals at the house and the hosts are wonderful! We absolutely loved our stay!
